Death sentence for downloading an article (G)

BBC reporting on a journalism student in Afghanistan that was tortured and sentenced to death for downloading an article from the internet on the role of women in islam. I can't find anything that further corroborates this story though, and there are scant details on the actual offense he was convicted of other than it was "blasphemy".

So basically she messed up. As she says it happens to all of us, but let's face it, this is a pretty big screw up, and embarassing, and most of all, funny. She even admits to not listening to the question. I ask you, you're on stage at a beauty pageant, and I know that your arse is taped to your tits, and that there's vaseline on your teeth, and you're remembering to do that pose so your hips and waist look narrower and your legs look longer, but you do that for the whole show, right? There's only one time in the entire show when you are expected to listen, think and talk, for like 1 minute. So if you screw that up, what is that saying? See, that just makes it funnier. And she came 3rd! Funnier again!

So this is what I have learned from this:
1. Mario Lopez is having an awesome career after Saved by the Bell.
2. Amy can be spelt Aimee.
3. The speech center of the brain is not required to make it to 3rd in Miss Teen USA.

Mrs Garrison's Theory of Evolution

I haven't watched South Park since the early days, because I got a little tired of the formula, but recently I got some episodes from a mate and I have to say, I think one of them was the funniest I have ever seen, and I own a Mr Hanky the Christmas Poo plush toy. To setup the clip, Mrs Garrison (I didn't realise Mr Garrison had a sex change until I saw this ep) is a creationist, but she is forced under protest to teach the "theory" of evolution.

In the same episode, we (unfortunately) get to see Mrs Garrisons "breasts", but fortunately I couldn't find a clip for that. In the same episode, Cartman goes crazy waiting for the Wii, which dovetails nicely with the previous post. For those of you playing at home, the episode is called "Oh God Go".
